Volunteer work

An important part of the association's activities in Cairo are voluntary workers and polytechnic students who bring help through their skills and personality to the Hope Village Society's shelters. We’ve had as volunteers for example students who live and study Arabic in Cairo - they have organized different kind of activities for the children and youngsters in the HVS shelters.

Some of the volunteers come all the way from Finland to work full-time in the shelters for example during their leave from work in Finland. The presence of the volunteers is significant especially for the abandoned and socially mistreated children. Every lap, every smile and every touch is a big thing for the children in the shelters.
